Smart Express is ShipEntegra’s new international shipping service for shipments of up to 1 kg to the United States. It operates with four weight tiers: 0–250 g, 250–500 g, 500–750 g, and 750 g–1 kg, with a delivery time of 2–5 business days. It is faster than the Economy service and more affordable than the Express service. It includes insurance coverage up to USD 100 and free returns within the U.S.; no DDP processing fee is charged during the launch period. Smart Express also offers a free Saturday delivery advantage. While Saturday delivery is normally available with an additional fee, it is provided at no extra cost for eligible Smart Express shipments.
If you sell to the United States, this scenario will probably sound familiar: an order comes in, you prepare the package, and then it is time to choose the shipping service. If you choose the economical option, delivery takes longer. If you choose the faster option, shipping costs eat into your profit. For products such as jewelry, accessories, and lightweight textiles, this small choice starts to make a noticeable difference by the end of the month.
That is exactly why we launched Smart Express: so you do not have to face the same dilemma with every order. Your brand-new option, as fast as our Express services and as affordable as our Economy services, is now live.
What Is Smart Express?
In short, it is a new ShipEntegra shipping service for shipments of up to 1 kg to the United States. Let’s explain it with the numbers:
- Available region: United States
- Weight tiers: 0–250 g, 250–500 g, 500–750 g, 750 g–1 kg
- Maximum package dimensions: 55 × 35 × 35 cm
- Weight Calculation: Actual weight and dimensional weight are evaluated together. For Smart Express shipments, both values must not exceed the 1 kg limit.
- Delivery time: 2–5 business days
- Insurance: Up to USD 100
- Returns: Free returns within the U.S.
- DDP processing fee: Not charged during the launch period
- Early tracking number: Not supported
- ETGB shipments: Not supported
Why are the four weight tiers important? Let’s look at an example. Since 0–250 grams is a separate tier, shipments within this range are charged according to their own tier; in other words, you do not pay the 500-gram rate for a 240-gram shipment. In categories such as jewelry, accessories, lightweight textiles, personalized printed products, and gifts, this difference is felt on every order.
Additionally, Smart Express shipments are evaluated based not only on the actual weight of the product but also on the dimensional weight calculated from the package dimensions. To qualify for Smart Express, both the actual weight and the dimensional weight of the shipment must not exceed the 1 kg limit. Therefore, it is important to consider package dimensions during the packing process.
The maximum package dimensions for Smart Express shipments are 55 × 35 × 35 cm. In addition, early tracking numbers are not available with this service, and ETGB shipments are not supported.
You already know the DDP processing fee: that separate line item charged per shipment. With Smart Express, we are not charging this fee during the launch period; we will announce the final date of this offer soon. Customs duties and other official charges, however, are assessed separately depending on the type and value of the product and the applicable customs regulations.
There is one more benefit: eligible shipments are covered against loss and damage up to USD 100, and eligible returns within the United States are also free. If you sell in a category with a high return rate, you can probably imagine what that means by the end of the season.
And do not worry, you do not need to set up a new integration or learn a different system. A new option is simply being added to the workflow you already use in your panel.
What Does It Offer You?
- You can speed up your deliveries without changing your product price. You already factor shipping into your sales price; switching to a faster service often meant either increasing the price or absorbing the difference from your margin. With Smart Express, neither is necessary for 2–5 business day delivery.
- You can display a shorter delivery time on your store page. The difference between “5–7 business days” and “2–5 business days” can determine whether a buyer completes their purchase during peak season.
- You do not pay a DDP processing fee during the launch period. One line item is removed from your invoice.
- It all comes with a single service selection; you do not need to deal with any additional settings in the panel.
- You can benefit from Saturday delivery advantages. Saturday delivery, which is normally offered with an additional fee, is provided free of charge for Smart Express shipments. This allows you to offer your customers a more flexible shopping experience with weekend delivery options.
Differences Between Economy, Smart Express, and Express
So where does it stand among the three services? Let’s take a look at the table:
| Feature | Economy | Smart Express | Express |
|---|---|---|---|
| Available region | United States | United States | Worldwide* |
| Weight / volumetric weight | Under 0.50 kg/volumetric weight | 0–250 g / 250–500 g / 500–750 g / 750 g–1 kg | Maximum 70 volumetric weight |
| U.S. delivery time | 5–7 business days | 2–5 business days | 2–4 business days |
| Price positioning | Most economical | More affordable than Express | Higher |
| Delivery speed | Economy service | Faster than Economy | Fastest option |
So, if your priority is the lowest possible cost, Economy may be right for you. If delivery speed is your top priority, Express may be the better option. If you are looking for both for shipments of up to 1 kg to the United States, Smart Express sits right between the two: as fast as our Express services and as affordable as our Economy services.
Who Is Smart Express Suitable For?
Let’s sum it up. See if this description fits you:
- If you sell to the United States
- If your shipments are mostly 1 kg or less
- If the delivery time of the Economy service is not fast enough for you
- If you want to gain speed without moving up to Express pricing
- If you want to manage return processes in the U.S. without additional cost
- If you are planning to enter peak season with a clear delivery time
If you ship to the United States through Etsy, Amazon, eBay, or Shopify, you can directly add the service to your existing workflow.
How to Use It from the ShipEntegra Panel
If you are wondering how it appears in the panel, here are five steps:
- Log in to your ShipEntegra panel.
- Select the order you want to ship to the United States and proceed to the shipment creation step.
- On the service selection screen, choose Smart Express.
- Select the appropriate weight tier for your shipment: 0–250 g, 250–500 g, 500–750 g, or 750 g–1 kg.
- Check the current price, create your shipment, and print your barcode.
Enter Peak Season with This Service
Let’s take a look at the calendar together: in 2026, Black Friday falls on November 27, Cyber Monday on November 30, followed by Christmas orders throughout December. During those weeks, the first thing buyers ask is often not the price, but “When will I receive it?”
A 2–5 business day delivery time means that orders placed up until mid-December can still remain within a window that may allow them to arrive before Christmas. A shipment sent with Economy on the same day, however, may be cutting it close with a 5–7 business day delivery time.
It is worth making the decision now. In the final week of November, no one has time to review weight tiers or update the delivery time shown on their store page.
The busiest period of the year comes only once a year. This season, you can improve your delivery time while keeping your shipping costs under control. Your brand-new option, as fast as our Express services and as affordable as our Economy services, is now live: if you ship packages of up to 1 kg to the United States, you can review Smart Express in your ShipEntegra panel and view the latest prices.
